Also known as the Stations of the Cross, this tranquil walk is one of the most important devotions for many people of faith, with each of the eleven stations depicting a moment on Christ’s journey to Calvary.
As you enter through the farm gate, take the path to the right. Framed by stunning nature and scenery, this path is regarded as an iconic location of reflection and prayer. Take a moment to sit on one of the provided stools as you make your way along the path. The Stations of the Cross were originally a Franciscan devotion in Europe for those who could not make pilgrimage to the holy places in Jerusalem. It invites us to invoke all our senses as we imaginatively follow the way of Jesus in the time leading up to and including his death.
At the crossroads, you have the option to continue along the Way of the Cross, which leads to the Sevenhill Cemetery (Point Ten). This walk is approximately one kilometre return.
Alternatively, if you choose to go left, you will bypass Point Ten and head directly to Weikert Cottage.
At the crossroads, turn right to continue to Site 10 - 1.1km return (Cemetery), or turn left to go to Site 11 (Weikert Cottage).
